Bio[]

Tenson was born outside Baker, Montana in 1963. He was raised in a rich household as his father was an oil tycoon. Because of this, he managed to go to Montana and studied business as he planned to follow in his father’s footsteps. However he ended up doing ROTC and commissioned in the USAF. He was deployed to Kuwait during Desert Storm and was a logistics officer in charge of ensuring allied planes had the parts and weapons ready to lift off. He also met his wife during his time in the service, getting married in 1989 and having a son in 1990.

He decommissioned as a Captain and took up his father’s oil business. He was in charge of it until 2004 when he decided to run for Congress. He replaced the retiring Republican incumbent in an extremely easy election and became a congressman, handing his business over to his wife who held it until 2017 when she gave it to his son. During his time in office, he has strongly opposed environmental regulations targeting fossil fuels, opposed abortion in all forms, opposed all forms of LGBT rights, and spoke out in favor of most foreign interventions. He is a strong proponent of regime change wars, and has spoken openly that the US should take action against nations such as Iran and Cuba.

His biggest point is that he is an extremely strong advocate for the Keystone pipeline. He spoke out heavily when President Rashid Baharia moved to delay the pipeline in 2015, but was satisfied when it returned to construction two years later. Despite their agreement on the Pipeline Tenson prefers to heavily distance himself from Wolf, who he sees as godless. He does not openly attack the president often though.

During his time as Representative, he served on the Foreign Affairs committee from 2014-2016. He was strongly against the Iran Nuclear Deal, instead pushing for harder sanctions and preparations for an eventual invasion. He was also against the President meeting with the government of Cuba, a move which he called “cowardly”. He was criticized when he tweeted against the 2015 Supreme Court decision legalizing same-sex marriage, deleting the tweet within 24 hours.

His family business is an independent oil producing company worth about 12 million dollars. Tenson Oil has operated in Montana since 1911. His son currently runs the business as he is too busy with politics to work with it.

He is currently running for Montana 2020 Gubernatorial and had endorsed West Virginia Governor Jonah Prendergast Jr. for President of the United States in the 2020 election, however following Governor Prendergast's drop Earl now supports Governor Nathaniel Richardson but has doubts about his electability.

In mid 2019 Earl's 24-year old son Joshua stepped down from Tenson Oil to become a United States Special Forces operator through the 18x program. He visited home on Christmas Day after graduating from One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning Georgia and is now at Fort Bragg North Carolina for the Special Forces Qualifications Course until late 2021.
